Information Days
By hosting this informal and welcoming session within your school or centre, families can access valuable information and advice in a setting where they already feel comfortable and supported. We would be delighted to extend this opportunity to your school community and to strengthen the care and guidance you already provide to families. Some of the areas of support for your parents and children include:
Advice
Guidance on welfare benefits, care planning, accessing respite, and local support services.
Practical Lived Experience
Insights from someone who has navigated challenges in health, education, social care, and home adaptations.
Empowerment
Information to help parents and carers confidently advocate for their child’s and family’s needs.
Transitions
Support with preparing for further education, employment, independent living, and accessing adult social services.
Sibling Support
Information and signposting to help siblings of disabled children access support and opportunities tailored to them.
Signposting And Referrals
Directing families to local resources and specialist services for ongoing support.
Legal Advice
A gentle introduction to legal topics such as the Court of Protection, litigation support, and setting up trusts for long-term financial security.
Resources
Practical handouts, information packs, and contacts to support families beyond the session.
Book An Information Day
Let us host an information day at your school or centre. Each session is led by a team member with many years of lived experience as the parent of a child with additional needs, ensuring the support offered is both practical and emphatic. Our sessions can be holistic, or we can arrange themed sessions—such as navigating EHCPs/IDPs, mental health support, respite care, sibling support, or financial planning—tailored to the needs of your parent/carer community. We’d love to hear from you to discuss our Information Days further.
